Terraced town house. c.1776-88, part of the Duke of Manchester's
development of Manchester Square on Portman land. Multi-coloured stock
brick with channelled stucco ground floor; concealed slate roof. 4 storeys
and basement. 4 windows wide. Doorway left of centre square headed with
pilasters carrying entablature with dentil cornice, panelled door and
fanlight. Recessed sashes, under flat gauged red brick arches to upper
floors. Stucco plat band to 1st floor. Parapet with stone coping. Cast
iron area railings with urn finials. Interior retains some elements of
good plasterwork in Adam manner and open well staircase with wrought iron
balustrade; etc.
