Butcher's shop and house. Late C19. Glazed brick slips, stucco
and limestone dressings, roof not visible. Double-depth plan.
3 storeys and attic; 2-window range. A good late C19 shop
front, pilaster strips above to a cornice, removed between the
pilasters, and coped attic storey. Shop front has green tiles
to a moulded dado, cream above and to the shop stall, with a
left-hand splayed entrance to a 6-panel door for the house,
and half-glazed shop door; a white marble slab on the shop
stall, and wide plate-glass horned sash to the shop window;
fluted consoles to a fascia and blind box. Lintels, cambered
on the second and attic storeys, to horned sashes with margin
panes. INTERIOR: good butcher's shop with tiled walls and a
frieze of raised swag. A complete butcher's interior with
stall, slab and sash shop window.
