House. now restaurant. Late C17 and C18, with mid C19 front.
Stucco with limestone mouldings, brick gable and ridge stacks,
slate roof to the front and pantiles behind. C19 work in
Picturesque Tudor Gothic style. Double-depth plan, C19 front
block with an L-shaped cross wing extending from the rear on
the left, and a parallel block on the right. 3 storeys;
3-window range. Gable-ended with clasping pilasters to the
coping. A right-of-centre porch has moulded 2-centred arched
doorway and hood, C20 door, bargeboards pierced with trefoils
and hexagonal slates. C20 conservatory extends to the right.
Casement windows with horizontal bars and raised label moulds:
right-hand 3-light and central 2-light ground-floor, 3-light
first-floor, and 2-light attic windows with labels in large
eaves dormers, with barge-boards. The left-hand gable has a
single-window range near the front, and a second matching
porch on the parapeted rear block. A large dormer to the
valley behind; the rear block on the right has 6/6-pane sashes
with brick jambs in the gable. INTERIOR not inspected.
