Two houses. Late C19. Squared coursed sandstone with ashlar
dressings and slate roof. The houses form a mirrored pair of 2
storeys with attic and 2 bays in a free Jacobethan Renaissance
style. Windows are sashed with no glazing bars. The inner bays
contain stone canted bay windows, of 2 storeys with string
courses and parapets. Above are attic windows within steep
shaped gables. The outer bays contain 1st floor windows framed
in carved stone surrounds, above doorways which have corbelled
stone hoods with curved tops and scalloped fronts. The doors
contain 3 glazed lights above 6 panels and have transom lights
over. Pilaster strips carry pinnacles which rise above the
gable parapet. The outer ones are of full height. Inner ones
are corbelled outwards at 1st floor window head level. Central
chimney stack.
