Terrace of 4 houses. 1859-60. Builder: William Holtom. Painted
brick with stucco dressings; slate roof with brick
stop-chamfered end stacks and cross-axial stack. Georgian
style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 8-window range. Top timber
entablature. 2 pairs of entrances have doorcases with friezes
and consoled cornices, plain overlights to 4-flush-panel
doors. 2-storey canted bay windows with consoled cornices to
ground floor and 4:16:4-pane sashes; windows over entrances
have sills and 12-pane sashes. Some surviving railings to
right end of front area. Rear has 2 wings. A good well
preserved example of mid C19 houses. Part of the early C19
development of the south part of Stratford.
