Semi-detached houses. 1841-3. Developed by C.H.Hill. Yellow
brick and stucco with roof of Welsh slate to no 38, asbestos
slate to no 40. Two storeys, two windows each, the entrance in
a two-storey bay set back to the side. All windows flat-arched
with gauged-brick heads and original 8/8 sashes. Each house
divided by a vertical sunken panel one brick deep. Stucco
porch with antae and entablature, the entrance having panelled
door of original design and overlight, with a round-arched
blank window to first floor. Enclosed eaves; party wall
expressed above roof and carrying central stack. Hipped main
and subsidiary roofs; dormers to side of both houses.
Single-storey extensions to side of both houses.
