Terrace of 5 pairs of town houses. Early/mid C19. Stuccoed
masonry walls; hipped dry Delabole slate roofs to Nos 7-10,
replaced with asbestos slate to Nos 5 & 6, otherwise hidden by
parapets; stuccoed or Rendered stacks. Double-depth plans.
3 storeys over basements; terrace of 5 of 2-window front
houses. Original hornless sashes with glazing bars. Pairs of
houses are linked by ground-floor porches with pairs of
doorways; C20 heightening of porch between Nos 2 & 3;
rusticated stucco to basement and ground floor; moulded
first-floor sill string, original moulded parapet cornices to
Nos 4-6 otherwise altered parapets. Open porches have moulded
entablature over square columns and moulded architraves to
doorways set back with panelled doors and overlights with
margin panes to Nos 2-10.
INTERIORS: where inspected there are panelled doors within
moulded architraves, panelled shutters and moulded plaster
ceiling cornices. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: original wrought-iron
railings with fleur-de-lis finials flank granite steps to
entrance bridges, return over granite forecourt plinths and
are linked to simpler railings with ramped handrails to
granite basement steps, except to No.5. No.9 was listed on
8.1.71.
