Town house, now commercial premises. c1803, largely rebuilt
c1970 in facsimile. By Almond Hitchens, builder and tallow
chandler. Reconstituted stone ashlar front with dry Delabole
slate mansard roof with 4 dormers behind parapet and brick end
stack on the right. Fairly deep plan. 2 storeys plus attic
over basement; regular 4-window front. Round-headed doorway
with recessed fluted architrave, on the left, has panelled
door with fanlight. C20 horned sashes with glazing bars under
shallow arches with projecting key blocks and a parapet
cornice, all between panelled giant pilasters. Right-hand
pilaster is original as is the masonry above parapet cornice
level to the other pilaster. INTERIOR not inspected but
rebuilt c1970. Included for group value.
