House. Circa C16 or C17. Rendered brick facing to timber frame.
Welsh slate roof with gabled ends. Rendered brick axial and gable
end stacks. Plan: 3-bay frame; the right (NW) and left (SE) bays
heated rooms with gable end stacks (the right-hand stack
removed). The centre bay has small room at front and axial
passage and staircase against rear wall behind. There is now a
through passage between the centre and left bays. C20 extension
on right (NW) and small circa late C19 outshut at centre rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 6-window north-east front. C20
casements with leaded panes. C20 panelled door and bay window to
right of centre and C20 extension on right with garage on ground
floor and 2 casements above. At rear various casement windows and
small single storey outshut at centre with brick stacks.
Interior: Left-hand room has unchamfered cross-beams supporting
chamfered axial beams, C20 fireplace and exposed studwork
partition. Right hand room has chamfered axial beam with hollow
step stops, exposed unchamfered joists and inserted passage
partition. On first floor exposed jowled posts, tie-beams with
curved braces and some exposed studding. Roof-space not
accessible.
