2/24 Manor Farmhouse and barn to west

Farmhouse, C17, possibly earlier, rubble stone with stone slate
roofs. Two storeys and attic. Main range has coped gables, ridge
stack and end stacks, 4-window north front with flush cyma-moulded
mullion windows of C18 type and one gabled dormer. Two-light
windows except in third bay which has door in flush moulded
surround with hood on brackets and single light. Hoodmoulds to
windows, except in left bay where there are flat dripmoulds. At
west end, single storey and attic range with ovolo-moulded mullion
windows and hoodmoulds, one 2-light to front, single light and 2-
light to west end wall, coped west gable and end stack. South
front has coped gable to left of centre with ovolo-moulded mullion
windows, single-light to attic, 2-light to first floor, similar 2-
light to first floor right, all with hoodmoulds. Ground floor of
this part obscured by slate-roofed lean-to. One gable dormer to
right. Left bay of front is slightly set-back with 2-light cyma-
moulded window each floor, hoodmoulds and ground floor relieving
arch. Across east end is lower range, the east front in three
sections. To left, 2-storey with north stack, upper casement pair,
ground floor door with 6-pane window to left and 2-light ovolo-
mullion window to right. Similar 3-light mullion windows with
hoodmoulds to each floor of south end. Centre and right sections
are divided by break in roof with ridge stack. Centre has rear
stack, eaves gable to left with casements and ground floor
casements replacing mullion window to right. Right has casements
to left and to first floor centre under eaves gable. At west end
of house is attached barn with east coped gable and ridge stack, 2
ground floor doors, then weatherboarded gabled cart entry, another
full-height entry to right, then door and steps to upper loft door.
Datestone of 1774 on east gable. Additional barn attached at west
end, not of special interest.
