School, now Village Hall, 1850, squared rubble stone with stone
slate roof and rear stack. Single room with exaggeratedly steep
roof and two front wall stone cross-windows. Heavy raised band
stepped over windows. Centre eroded plaque apparently recording
that the school was built 1850 in memory of Rev A. Austin. Similar
3-light south end window., Both gables have quatrefoil in apex.
Rear stack. Scissor-truss 3-bay roof. House attached at south
east angle is altered and not of special interest. School is in an
important position on a small green opposite the church.
