2/23 Group of six monuments to east of
Church of All Saints


GV II

Six chest tombs, C18, ashlar in line of five with one to east.
From north:
a) Unidentified mid C18 memorial with moulded base and cornice
broken forward for centre projection. Raised circular north
plaque and fielded panelled strip each side. Floral drop to
angles. Raised square south plaque.
b) Chapman memorial, mid C18, similar to a) with raised circular
south plaque and rectangular north plaque, fielded panels and
floral drop angles. West inscription to R. Chapmen Jr died
1754.
c) & d) Two unidentified partially sunk memorials of c1700 with
heavy moulded capstones.
e) Unidentified memorial, mid C18, with oval south plaque, foliate
scrolls flanking and fielded panelled angle piers.
f) Unidentified memorial, to east of others, early C18, with
moulded base and cornice broken forward over centre and angle
piers. Two oval plaques each side wreathed borders.
