Summerhouse and cottage. C17 and C18, with C19 additions to
rear. Brick; Welsh slate roof, with old plain tiles to
summerhouse (right).
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range: to right, 8/8 sash with
cambered head, under moulded wood eaves; C19 casement in
protruding gabled porch-bay; to left, blocked opening and C19
casement in moulded case; segmental arches. 6-panel door under
segmental arch, recessed to right; two 8/8 sashes under
segmental arches. Right returned side has similar 8/8 sash
over blocked opening. Left returned side displays C18
timber-framing under altered roof pitch extended to rear. The
cottage was added to a C17 summerhouse, formerly in the garden
of No.30 Castle Street (qv), and resembling that of No.29
Castle Street (qv).
INTERIOR: C19 winder staircase with stick balusters. 1st
floor: C19 fireplace; C18 panelling to gazebo; 5 panelling
doors with L-hinges; C18 bolection-moulded fireplace; plank
door. Ground floor: 3 panelling doors; panelled dados; 4-panel
door; corner fireplace; stone stack base; C20 fireplace.
Cellar: chamfered ceiling beam.
