Snape Cottage
II
Cottage. Dated 1809 at 1st floor; altered. Coursed sandstone
rubble, slate roof, brick chimney. Double-depth double-fronted
plan. Two storeys and 2 windows, almost symmetrical; doorway
with board door and large wedge lintel; two 3-light casements
on each floor, all with raised sills and similar wedge
lintels, and between those at 1st floor a shouldered datestone
inscribed "A D / 1809". Gable chimney to the right. Left gable
wall rendered, with small lean-to porch; lean-to outbuilding
added to right-hand gable.
