Gazebo and contiguous garden wall running N-S. Late C16 wall
and early C19 gazebo. Flint cobble with brick dressings, red
brick walling. Wall, approx 9.5m long, gazebo approx 3.25m
square at S end, W side built against earlier blocked gateway
in wall of similar width. Wall approx 2.25m high of thin
bricks in random bond, brick built triangular coping with
supporting ovolo moulding, lower plinth, original gateway at W
end has piers of moulded panelled brickwork originally
plastered to resemble stone, pier has remains of tooth-moulded
brick capitals. Gateway blocked by similar brickwork (but
original plastering runs between them). N end has C20
rebuilding with pier. GAZEBO: N,S and W faces of flint cobble
with brick quoins and dressings, 2 storeys, principal face
slightly convex with ground floor 4 centred arched doorway
with label. C20 boarded and battened door. First floor window
with similar head and label original oak frame with C20
2-light casement also blind arrow slit, castellated parapet
with cornice which surrounds whole roof. N elevation: ground
floor window, 4 centred head and label with C20 2-light
casement window. First floor, inserted C20 segment headed
casement window. E elevation: lower part has blocked brick
gateway. First floor, C19 brick with C20 3-light segment
headed casement window.
