House. Early C17, altered in C18, refurbished in C20.
Timber-framed and plastered with C20 panelled fan combed
pargetting, peg-tiled roof, red brick stacks. Plan
rectangular. 2 storeys attics and cellars. Front E elevation:
3 window, 2 doorway range, ridge stack towards S end, C19
external N end gable stack. Ground floor, central triple sash
window with glazing bars, 1x4, 3x4, 1x4 panes, door each side,
flat cornice hoods, one with recessed panelled architrave and
frieze. C20 doors, one of 6 fielded panels, other with upper
3x3 paned glazing. N and S ends each have C20 restored, 5x4
paned sash window. First floor, central C19 window, was
sliding, 3-lights 3x3 panes, similar one at S end, N end C20
3-light casement window to match other 2. Ramped slated
2-light casement dormer window above. Cellar lights below each
ground floor window. Rear W elevation: windows somewhat
scattered, all C20 casements except for one on first floor at
S end which is C19 sash with margin glazing 5x5 panes,
decorative blue and white glass in margins. N end elevation:
plain with central external stack. S end elevation: eaves seen
to have been raised with wall plates projecting at eaves and
lower level side purlins also seen (2 in one roof pitch).
Single light ground floor casement window, weathering board at
eaves level.
INTERIOR: jowled posts and tie-beams and wall plates of first
phase clear, interior framing now removed. Principal stack C18
with ground floor timber lintelled fireplace (re-used lintel)
facing S.
