Village house. C17 or possibly earlier. Painted slatestone
rubble with oak lintels; steep rag slate roofs with one C17
crested clay ridge tile; outbuilt rubble lateral stack to
front right plus lateral stack at rear left. Single-depth plan
plus C17 or C18 rear wing at right-angles on right plus later
outshut on left. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Large C18 24-pane
2-light window with thick glazing bars on left, otherwise
early C19 or later 2-light casements with thin glazing bars;
doorway left of centre with mid C19 panelled and top-glazed
door with small panes. INTERIOR: 5 bays with oak cross beams
and joists; corbelled stone lateral fireplace in right-hand
room (presumed hall) and corner fireplace with round granite
jambs and bread oven in left-hand room.
