Terraced houses. c.1840. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco, roof obscured by parapet. Three storeys over basement,
two windows each. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, the
ground floor scored as ashlar. Steps up to round-arched
entrance with moulded stucco architrave, fluted pilasters,
cornice, fanlight (with decorative glazing bars to nos 19-20)
and panelled doors of original design. Ground-floor windows
round-arched. Sill band to first floor terminates stucco;
upper windows flat-arched with moulded stucco architraves,
those to first floor with cornice and iron balconies; no 17
has a side elevation with first- and second-floor flat-arched
windows with gauged brick heads. 6/6 sashes of original design
to nos 17 (first floor and side elevation), 18 and 20. Cornice
and blocking course. Stacks to party walls. Cast-iron railings
to area.
