Vestry hall to St Paul's Church
GV II
Vestry hall serving St Paul's Church. c.1830 by the office of
Sir Charles Barry; extended to north by one bay c.1870. Gray
brick with with stone dressings and slate roof, single storey
with central arched door in east facade. Two bays to either
side with paired lancets in flat-arched stone surrounds. Gable
windows of three lights with perpendicular tracery, that to
the north window particularly elegant. Three-light lancet set
within stone and brick surrounds to single-bay extension. This
also has projecting central porch with double door in stone
surround under gable. Interior with open king post roof, with
pronounced square pattern of rafters and purlins.
