Summerhouse approximately 200 metres northwest of Sandford Park

Summerhouse. Late C18. Timber frame with Stonesfield slate cladding and roof. Oval plan. Front has a square-headed opening under a triangular wooden pediment which has an ornamental upper cornice, a central sun burst and three simple finials. The roof forms a shallow oval pyramid.

Interior; the walls are of exposed studding and the room is furnished with a contemporary curved bench with an openwork back of interlacing serpentine bars. A lakeside feature in the gardens of Sandford Park.
