Cottage, former toll-bar. Mid C19 with C20 alterations and additions.
Dressed squared stone. Stone slate roof. Rectangular 2-cell plan. Single-
storey. Near-central, 4-light, chamfered, transomed, canted bay with 4- and
6-pane lights. Tall 2-light chamfered window to left of entrance in plain
surround to right, both with hoodmoulds. Shaped gable copings on moulded
kneelers. Central pair of ornamental ashlar stacks. Two large C20 windows
at rear. 1970s addition to left return, not of special interest.
