Dovecote. Late C17. Rubble sandstone, partly rendered; stone slate roof.
Small square building, 2 storeys, single window to 1st floor. Quoins. Large
ground-floor opening of later date has boarded doors and wood lintel. lst-floor
opening has stone ledge and panel pierced with pigeon holes beneath casement
with glazing bars. Eroded kneelers, square-cut gable copings. Later wood
lantern to ridge. Rear: steps from higher ground level to door in dressed
stone surround. Left return: ledge to blocked lst-floor opening.
Interior: original internal floor construction. Nesting holes with ledges
built into loft walls. Attached outbuildings not of special interest.
