House, former cottage and former barn. House late C18, cottage early C19,
former barn C16 or C17 timberwork encased probably in the C19. Squared,
coursed rubble, Welsh slate roofs, stone to barn. House: 2 storeys and attic,
one bay to road. Cottage: 2 storeys, 2 bays. The house has altered openings
to its front, and gable copings on cut kneelers. Central stone stack. Its
right gable wall has a single-light window in raised surround to ground and
1st floors and a smaller window in gable apex. The cottage extends at 90°
from the rear of the house and has a blocked doorway to left and altered windows
to right. Two windows to 1st floor. The former barn to the right of the
cottage, of 2 internal bays, has a part-blocked central doorway, a later doorway
to left and a single window to right. The stone building to right is not of
special interest.
Interior of barn: wall plates intact, 3 king-post trusses that to left with
posts part-encased in the walls. The two outer trusses retain diagonal studding.
The central truss is open. All are braced to ridge. Outer trusses have stud
housings to the underside of the tie-beam. The central truss has housings for
posts and braces on underside of tie-beam. Single purlin roof.
