Steps, 2 pairs of urns and flanking ice houses. Circa 1900. The urns
possibly of concrete are set at either end of an avenue, with steps at
the south end and centre, approximately 50m long in total. The urns
are crested, gadrooned to lid and base, with festooned central frieze
and beaded foot; the ice houses (part-demolished at time of resurvey,
November 1984) flank the centre of the avenue to east and west, both
vaulted in brick. The group forms part of an extensive man-made landscape
to The Lawns (q.v.), an Edwardian mansion built for the Bass family,
Brewers of Burton-on-Trent.
