Soup kitchen. Circa 1900. Red brick; pyramidal slate roof. Small
single-storey square plan; louvred cupola and finial to apex and panel
door to west. Part of an Edwardian mansion complex built for the Bass
family, Brewers of Burton-on-Trent. The soup kitchen is a rare survival
in this type of group.
