House, formerly farmhouse. c.1830. Rendered brick or stone, swithland
slate roof, painted stone end stacks. Central staircase plan. 2-storey, 3-
window range. Large central porch with twin piers of square section,
moulded cornice and blocking cornice, raised on one step. Panelled, part-
glazed door within, with side-lights. 12-pane sash windows to ground and
1st floors with moulded rendered Surrounds. Rendered plinth, rendered
rusticated quoins, deep projecting eaves and incised masonry patterns to
render. Later C19, 2-storey wings to rear. Interior: spacious staircase
hall. Stone paved floor with black diamond insets. Open well staircase
with scrolled tread ends, mahogany turned balusters and mahogany ramped and
wreathed handrail.
