House. Early C19 with earlier origins. Timber-framed and
plastered with gabled roof of concrete interlocking pantiles.
2 storeys with attics and cellars with 2 hipped dormers each
with a double-hung sash window with central vertical glazing
bar and moulded surround. Front has painted timber modillioned
cornice and 3-window range of flush double-hung sashes with
central vertical glazing bar and moulded surrounds. Ground
floor 2 similar windows and central doorcase with open
pediment consoles and semicircular fanlight with radial
glazing bars. Door with 6 raised-and-fielded panels and one
stone step. 2 large rendered stacks on rear wall and
extensively renovated white weatherboarded rear lean-to.
INTERIOR: central entrance corridor with simple contemporary
panelling below dado and doors with architraves. Chinese
Chippendale staircase as dogleg but breaking into 2 separate
flights to attics. At base of stairs is painted timber ogee
arch. Roof is of fully-framed joggled purlins.
