House, former public house. Early C19. Timber-framed and
rendered with hipped Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys with cellars
and 2 irregularly-placed brick stacks. Both street frontages
have two 2-light casement windows on second floor each with
single horizontal glazing bars. Each first floor elevation has
2 flush double-hung sash windows with central vertical glazing
bars. Between ground and first floor, a painted fascia band
with 2 simple pilasters to King's Quay Street and one to
Market Street. Ground floor of each elevation has two C19
two-light casements with 8 horizontal panes. The north corner
is rounded. Entrance door under overhanging corner at junction
with No.9 (qv). INTERIOR: 2 flights of early C19 stairs with
column newels and stick balusters.
