Town house. Probably C18 on C17 site. Stucco on studwork to
front; dry Delabole slate roof; cast-iron ogee gutters. Deep
plan including rear wing. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Early C19
sixteen-pane hornless sashes with glazing bars; 3-light canted
oriel window on right, all within moulded wooden architraves.
Ground floor has ope on left with carved round head linked to
moulded entablature with fascia over late C19 five-light shop
front with pilasters, narrow mullions to segmental-arched
lights; 3-panel top-glazed door on the left with blind
overlight. Iron bar of former gas lamp at right-angle to
front, linked to Town Hall (qv) across the road. INTERIOR of
shop altered C20 otherwise not inspected.
