Farmhouse. Medieval, but mainly C17 now. Rendered rubble, Broseley tile
roof. Long, shallow block, with stair turret, back, and two storey porch
front, left; large stack, back, just to right of porch through-way. Two
storeys, 5-windowed, 3-light casements with transom, probably C19. Porch
with pitched roof, 2-light casement, 4-panel door. Top casements well below
eaves level. Back casements all recent. In stair projection one small fixed
glass opening. Interior: extremely heavy chamfered beams; wall thickness
extreme left front 1,300 m and end gate c. 1,000 m. Stair renewed, but tur-
ret semi-circular plan within, square without. Some first floor doors plank
one face, 4-panel the other face. Property traditionally associated with
King John, and mentioned in reign of Ed III.
