One of my father's photos, probably early 70s possibly 60s. His Mother's family (Farrance) farmed there and worked in the Potteries from at least 1784 till his Uncle Dan lost the farm in 1936. The Potteries closed in 1902, but the remains of the horse driven pug mill was still there in the 80s, and the ponds where the clay had been dug were there when I visited in the 90s as were some very dilapidated long sheds at the far end of the property which may well have been the potteries.
