Detached cottage. Mid C17. Chequered limestone and flint, tiled
roof, gable end brick stacks. Two-storey, 2-windowed, casements.
Central 6-panelled door in C20 gabled porch, 3-light ovolo-
mullioned casement to either side. First floor has two 3-light
ovolo-mullioned casements. Left return has 2-light casement to
ground floor and 1-light casement to attic. Right return has
external stone and flint stack with offsets and datestone with
initials; GD 1695, one-light casement to first floor and attic.
Rear has C20 outshut and three gabled dormers.
Interior with good original fittings; moulded chamfered beam with
ogee stops, moulded stone Tudor-arched open fireplace with
herringbone brick back in room to left of door, room to right has
fireplace with chamfered lintel with rounded corners on stone
jambs, chamfered beam with bar stops. First floor has moulded
stone Tudor-arched fireplace, reset wainscot door with chip carving
and cock's heads hinges, reset plank and muntin partition, moved
from ground floor. Datestone probably a later addition.
