House, now supermarket and dwelling. Late C16/early C17, refronted in C18.
Originally timber-framed. Colourwashed brick; gabled old tile roof; brick ridge
stack. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys; 4-window range. C20 double doors and flanking
shop windows: plank door to left passage; timber lintels over first-floor
horizontal sliding sashes; dentilled eaves. Interior: chamfered beams, large
joists to left. Jowled posts to 4-bay queen-post roof with clasped purlins and
curved windbraces: remodelled truss to right.
