Includes No 2 Grange Road (Tylecote) and No 21 Richmond Road (Swiss
Cottage). 3 cottages, now 2 houses. Dated 1771. Coursed rubble with
ashlar dressings, C20 interlocking pantile roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays, with
lesser range to rear left including present entrance to Tylecote. Quoins.
On ground floor at right end, 4-pane sash window in quoined doorway surround
with tripartite keystone. Above, round-headed plaque with moulded panel
inscribed "Anthony & Elizabeth Barker 1771" surmounted by 2 crossed axes.
In fourth bay, 6-panel door in ashlar surround with tripartite keystone.
Added C20 square bay windows along front facade with continuous plain-tile
roof. First floor: 4-pane sash windows in ashlar surrounds with tripartite
keystones. Shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to right. Brick stacks at left
end and between first and second, second and third, and fourth and fifth
bays.
