House (no. 4) and cottage (no. 5). Mid C18. Rubble, Westmorland slate
roof. 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows in all. No. 4: 2 bays; central 4-
panel door in moulded stone surround. Windows in plain stone surrounds. On
ground floor sashes, and on first floor 4-pane sashes. To left, no. 5: 1
bay; part-glazed door to right, sash windows as before. Ashlar copings
overall, stacks at end left and at ends of no. 4.
