Farmhouse. Mid- and late C17 with mid- to late C18 addition. Timber
framed with painted brick nogging on partly chamfered dressed grey sandstone
plinth, rendered at rear; plain tile roof. Framing: C17 square panels
(3 from sole plate to wall plate) with short straight corner braces;
eaves raised by approximately ½ panel height probably in C18; C18 light
square panels (4 from sole plate to wall plate) with long straight tension
braces. L-plan; 3 framed bays with C18 rear wing. 2 storeys. Large
central brick ridge stack and integral brick end stack to left. 3 first-
floor 2- and 3-light wooden-framed metal casements and small horizontal
sliding sash to right; ground-floor mid- to late C19 three-light wooden
mullioned and transomed casement with weathering off-centre to left
and paired C19 wooden cross windows with weathering to right. Six-
panelled door to left (2 lower flush panels and 4 upper glazed panels)
with 2-part rectangular overlight. Gable ends have exposed collar and
tie-beam trusses with queen struts. C18 timber framed rear wing with
glazing bar sashes and C19 wooden casements; gable end to rear has collar
and tie-beam trusses with queen struts. C19 one-storey painted brick
outshut in angle at rear. Interior not inspected.
