Road bridge over River Axe. 1824, built for Sir Alexander Hood. Local stone roughly cut and squared, with dressed and
boasted stone dressings, Single semi-circular arch with triple keystone. and band course at road level: parapet
slightly arched, with chamfered ashlar copings; the ends curving out to square dressed stone piers. (Bentley J.B and
Murless B.J, Somerset Roads, SIAS, 1985).
