Milestone. Probably C19. Painted Ham stone about 300mm wide x 750mm high, with rounded top, set flush into wall; stone
inscribed 'Chard/4'. This road, from Chard to Greenham in Dorset, was turnpiked by the Chard Trust in 1829. (Bentley
