Inn. C17, possibly rebuild of earlier dwelling, altered early C19 and C20. Slobbered
rubble, half hipped Bridgwater patent tile roof, large brick stack fourth bay left.
Plan: 2-cell and cross passage with 2-storey porch facing east,extended south gable end
with outshot at rear. Two storeys, end bay left beyond stack unlit, C20 windows flanking
full height gabled porch carried on timber posts, infilled with brick, ground floor C20
windows flanking porch and plank door in end bay left; right return raking buttresses;
left return two 3-light ovolo moulded mullioned windows, C20 window in outshot at rear.
Interior: only partially seen, early C19 stick stair blocking through passage now lobby,
right axial chamfered beam with scroll and runout stops, in former kitchen left chamfered
lintel to fireplace, remains of curing chamber and/or stair beside.
This has been an inn since the C18 and probably earlier.
