II

Farmhouse and service wing. Late C18 with mid C19 rear addition.
Brick with Swithland slate roofs. Brick plinth. Dentillated
eaves. 2 gable stacks, and single ridge stack on rear wing,
brick. 2 storeys plus attics. L-plan. 3 bay front with single
bay service wing to right. Front has central doorway with
moulded case, panelled door and latticed porch, flanked by single
3 light sliding sashes with segmental heads. Beyond to right, a
C20 casement. Above, 3 sliding sashes, the central one 2 light
and the flanking ones 3 light. Beyond, to right, a 3 light sash.
All these windows have segmental heads. Above again, 2 flat
roofed dormers with 3 light casements. First floor has to left,
shaped stone incised with the house name and the initial 'C'.
North gable has lean-to addition to right, and a casement on each
floor, south gable has to left, C20 casement. Above, slightly
off-centre glazing bar casement to attic. Late C19 single storey
rear addition has to south a C20 casement.
