House. Late C15 or early C16. Hall house with original cross
wing on S. C18 red brick to ground floor. Upper floor is
painted brick and roughcast with some exposed framing. 1 storey
and attics. 2 C20 casement windows, including recent casement
bow on ground floor of cross wing. Gabled dormer to hall. The
hall has an inserted floor of the late C16 or early C17. C19
stack at N end in position of a former timber stack. S wall of
hall has fragmentary wall paintings of c.1600. Parts of 2 crown
posts in roof. (RCHM Typescript).
