II
Anglican parish church. 1865, by S W Daukes. Rock faced limestone with ashlar
dressings, stone slate roof to coped gables with 3 crosses. Nave, south aisle,
chancel, organ chamber, north porch with octagonal tower and squat stone spire;
roof swept down to aisle. Generally foiled lancets, paired and with plate
tracery in north and south walls and west end, triple with plate tracery at east
end. Interior has 3-bay arcade, original fittings, plank doors with strap
hinges, and good diagonal grille to outer porch. A rather basic building, but
very prominent, high in the landscape.
