approximately 80m east
of Gatcombe Park

Former stables and coach house, now part office with garages.
c1820. Random rubble limestone; stone slate roof, asbestos slate
to rear. Polygonal plan, 2-storey coach house on north side,
entrances to east and west, former stables to south, now
outbuildings. Three large 3-centred arched coach doorways in main
building, one at centre being original, others C20. Segmental
arched ground floor small-pane casements, square-headed to upper
floor. Roof hipped at each end. Rear wing partly rebuilt in
concrete block. Lean-to stables have crenellated backing wall.
Tall pairs of piers to opposed carriage entrances to yard,
octagonal at west end, square to east, each with weathered caps.
