Wrongly shown as PH on OS map. House. Early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond,
painted at front only, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. Square plan facing
SW, with 2 stacks in right return and one stack in left return. Single-storey
lean-to extension to rear. 2 storeys. 2-window range of original sashes of 12
lights, with segmental arches and some crown glass. Similar blank aperture on
first floor over central door, plastered. 6-panel door, the upper 4 panels
glazed, in simple doorcase with panelled jambs, and shallow flat canopy on
scrolled brackets. 2 stone steps, and mounted on them, wrought iron railings at
each side comprising 2 plain uprights and D-section rail rolled under at end.
Chamfered plinth. Corner pilasters, plain band at first-floor level. Fully
hipped roof. Symmetrical elevation. Formerly a public house, The Foresters'
Arms. Included for group value.
