House. Late C18, altered in C20. Timber framed, weatherboarded and plastered,
roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays facing SE with central stack. C20
extension to rear. One storey with attics. 2 C20 casements, and 2 more in
lean-to dormers. Plain boarded door. Described as 'newly erected' in 1797
(Will of John Burchell, 1798, Essex Record Office).
