Farmhouse. Datestone TLE 1830. Rendered rubble front, remainder rubble, formerly slate-hung, brick stacks, slurried slate roof to box eaves. A symmetrical central stair hall plan with hipped roof, central valley to back, projectting stair turret, and extra single-storey wing to kitchen or scullery with very large gable stack. Two storeys and part basement; front is three windows, all sixteen-pane sashes, central five-panel part glazed door to segmental head in glazed conservatory porch. Double octagonal stacks at eaves left and two sets right. To right return are steps down to basement door in segmental head, large external stack. Left return has two-light low left, and at eaves centrally to voussoirs. Back includes a sixteen-pane sash, and a centre-hung two-light glazing bar casement; projection at centre has low-pitched pent roof. Attached to back, left, an extension with sash to brick segmental arch and very large gable stack.
Interior: only partly inspected, includes original doors, window shutters to ground floor, and stick stair. An unusually grand example of the genre.
