Farmhouse. Early C19 rebuilding of C17 or earlier structure with late C19
and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Brick, plain tiled roof with large
brick ridge stack. Three storeys; 3 bays with 2 additional bays to left
side. Main art: all windows have cambered heads, stone sills and moulded
architraves; ground and first floor windows are glazing bar sashes; there
are 3 windows at ground floor level with 2 to the left of the central door-
way; the central first floor window is narrower than the rest; the second
floor has a 6-pane sash on the left side and a mid-C20 casement on the
right side; central door has a plain doorcase, gabled canopy on brackets,
6-panelled door and barred segmental fanlight. The 2-bay part to left has
a plain sash on the ground floor and two 3-light casements on the first
and second floor; there is a separate entrance to this part in the left
side elevation having a late C19 gabled, timber-framed porch on a brick
base and ledged and battened door. Interior not inspected. Timber-framed
rear wing of one framed bay, single storey and attic, with painted brick
infill and plain tiled roof; 3 square panels from sill to wall-plate, long
straight braces in lower corners, collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts;
there is a ground floor casement, an attic light and a C20 door and glazed
porch at the gable end.
