House, probably 1720s. Rubble with stone slate roof. Deep plan with two rooms
each to front and back. Two storeys and two bays. The doorway at extreme left
has an architrave; over it is a panel once legible as 172 - (Provisional List).
The large double chamfered stone mullion windows are now of 2 lights but have
been of 4 and had their sills lowered. At rear is a slightly chamfered doorway
and 4-light double chamfered stone mullion windows to each floor which are smaller
than at front. 3 chimneys. Inside the stone wall dividing the bays, across the
axis of the house, goes up to the ridge. Timbers on first floor have lap-joints
suggesting re-use. One-and-a-half-flight closed string stair with turned balusters,
panelled newels and moulded handrail.
