GV II
Garden ornament (C), late C17. Limestone urn incomplete on stem with
cartouche and hart decoration to panels and swags on moulded plinth. The
ornament is one of three placed in a formal garden arrangement of two
rectangular lawns divided by a path and enclosed by miniature box hedges.
Sir Christopher Hatton owned the property in 1681 and possibly built the
garden wall.
