Rockery and grotto. Circa 1810 for the 6th Duke of Bedford and part of the
Picturesque surroundings to Endsleigh House (qv). Stone rubble. A Picturesque
combination of a rockery and grotto. Large rockery with a central pond with a
network of paths and steps. One flight of steps leads down to a serpentine plan
grotto with rustic stone walls, a barrel vaulted roof and a floor of small cobbles.
